From you files or your negatives we print c-prints on a number of different materials:
c-print stands for chromogenic print – which means, light sensitive, chemical photomaterials.

B&W Prints as photo chemical prints on classic light-sensitive B&W materials – printed as darkroom prints from B&W negatives or printed on the OCE lightjet from digital data
From the B&W negatives we get from you, we offer dark room prints on these materials:
ILFORD MULTIGRADE IV RC DELUXE – B&W photographic material, resin coated, in glossy or semi matt surface.
- ILFORD MULTIGRADE FB CLASSIC – B&W photographic fibre material, cardboard based, classic silver gelatine prints, matt or glossy surface
- BERGGER PRESTIGE VARIABLE CB Style: Warmtone B&W photographic material, semiglossy material from french company Bergger – only for prints from B&W negatives, no digital prints on this material
- BERGGER PRESTIGE VARIABLE NB: neutral tone B&W photographic material, semiglossy, material from french company Bergger – only for prints from B&W negatives, no digital prints on this material

For best printing results from digital files, please use color profiles as ECI, sRGB, ColorMatch RGB or ADOBE 98).
selenium toning and sepia (brown) toning processes on request.
Sepia (brown) toning process leads to photos in a classic brown color (black parts will turn to brown) – selenium toning helps increasing the durability of the print and with higher concentration a nice red tone will appear.
From B&W slide film we could not print analogue prints, we would scan them and print afterwards from digital data according to the slide film.

Inkjet prints/Pigment Prints/Fine Art Prints
For fine art prints or pigment prints we print on Hahnemuehle or Canson materials, for prints on Canvas we use Hahnemuehle material.
We always recommend inkjet printing when the image is showing colors, they are not possible to reproduce on light senstive photo chemical material. When you would like to have super white background at graphic design images, faksimile prints of old paintings or special logo colors than we print with our EPSON Stylus 11880 Pigment Ink Jet printer with Epson UltraChromeTM K3-inks.
For best results we recommend a color profile (as ECI, sRGB,ColorMatch RGB or ADOBE 98).
All files should be send to us at the size of 1/3 of the original size at least. We recommend 150 dpi in the size you would like to get.
For fine art prints we only recommend prints, they have been printed with water soluble pigment ink, because the durability of inkjet prints printed with latex or UV technology or solvent ink printers is very limited. We recommend to all photography collectors interested in buying inkjet prints, to ask about the printing technique, as inkjet prints printed with latex or UV technology or solvent ink printers are not suitable for photo editions.
Fine art papers, we are using:
Canson Platinum Rag paper, Hahnemuehle ultra smooth, Hahnemuehle Baryta, other papers we could supply on request.

Print on Textiles or Canvas Material
For painting reproduction prints we usually work on matt Hahnemuehle Canvas Artist material, this Canvas Artist has a very visible and palpable textile structure. This material guarantees sharpness & true colors with a very 3D feeling. For indoor banners we print on molino canvas, tyvek and trevira materials.
Wall Paper prints
For photo wallpapers we also print on wall paper material. We normally work with Tetenal wallpaper 170 g – width 61 cm.
We do supply other wallpaper material up to a width of 150 cm, Canon blue back paper, but handling with 150 cm wallpaper, mounting on the wall without bubbles, is not that easy. Delivery: 2-3 days
More information about digital c-prints & digital B&W prints
Digital c-prints, printed with OCE lightjet 500 XL are done by three lasers, RED/BLUE/GREEN on conventional light sensitive photo chemical paper. The same c-type photopapers are used as for conventional darkroom prints. So digitally printed c-prints can be shown next to analogue printed c-type prints, no difference in concern of the surface would be visible.
Foto Leutner is also printing digital B&W prints on fibre based paper (digital silver gelatine prints). Since 2004 we are working as the only lab in Austria with the OCE lightjet 500 XL printer, the only laser printers, they can print up to a size of 180×300 cm. With the OCE lightjet printer 500 XL the very expensive photoworks from the german artists Elger Esser, Andreas Gursky, Thomas Ruff, and Thomas Struth are being produced, their works belong to the most popular art works based on photography.
Using this OCE lightjet 500XL, the worlds No.1 printing machine, Foto Leutner is enjoying a very good reputation and one of the worlds best addresses for fine art printing.
Resolution: the OCE 500 XL laserprinter works at the resolution of 300 dpi in final size.
We recommend files in TIFF format, also photoshop files, EPS, JPG and PDF is accepted. The OCE is printing in RGB 8 bit mode.
For best results please send the files in min. 200 dpi in the same size as you would like to have the print done, to our Lab. Please send the file with a correct color profile: we recommend ECI, sRGB, Colormatch or ADOBE 98.
