Ausstellung Kunsthaus Wien/ Lensculture Kooperation

10/11/2014 - Uyuni, Bolivia: Plastic tree #49. Plastic bags are part of the landscape of the Bolivian Altiplano. The accumulation of plastic bags on the environment cause deterioration of the landscapes and agriculture soils and it is associated to the death of domestic and wild animals. The world consumes 1 million every minute, but the all useful plastic bag as become the main source of pollution worldwide. Since most of the plastic isn’t biodegradable and it is a durable material it can last for hundreds of years in the environment. Plastic Trees series was made to call for the attention on this problem, focusing on the spreading of the plastic bags on the Bolivian Altiplano, where millions of bags travel with the wind until they got entangled in native bushes, damaging the beautiful landscapes.

Das Kunst Haus Wien, ein Museum der Wien Holding, zeigte von 17. März bis 30. Juni 2016 in der Galerie die Fotoausstellung „Seen on Earth“, die auf eindringliche Weise drei internationale Positionen zeigt, die sich unterschiedlich mit der fortschreitenden Zerstörung der Umwelt auseinandersetzen. Die KünstlerInnen Mandy Barker, Eduardo Leal und Simon Norfolk arbeiten mit der Fotografie, einem der wirksamsten Mittel, um durch Menschen verursachte Umweltschäden zu dokumentieren.

Die von Verena Kaspar-Eisert kuratierte Ausstellung wurde in enger Kooperation mit LensCulture realisiert und durch die Ausarbeitung der Arbeiten vom Fotolabor Foto Leutner ermöglicht. LensCulture ist eine der weltweit größten kuratierten Online-Plattformen für zeitgenössische Fotografie.

Das Kunsthaus Wien beeindruckt kontinuierlich mit Ausstellungen von zeitgenössischen KünstlerInnen die mit dem Medium Fotografie arbeiten. Namenhafte Fotografen wie aktuell Martin Parr, Legenden wie Annie Leibowitz aber auch junge FotografInnen aus Wien werden hier gezeigt.
Für die Ausstellung Peter Piller „Belegkontrolle“ / Anita Witek „About Life“, war Foto Leutner für die Ausarbeitung von Anita Witeks fotografischen Kollagen zuständig und hat diese in Museumsqualität produziert.
